Real Estate Investing For Beginners - Getting Started

By Kevin Ierardi

So you're new to real estate investing and you're looking for something on real estate investing for beginners. While this is a great place to start let's talk about the basics before we get into things like books and classes.

The first thing you want to consider is where your money from your investments will come from. You need to decide if the money will come from your own pocket or from another party. Remember that you do have options when it comes to money resources.

If your brand new then you can use your own money but that's not totally necessary. If you don't want to use your own money then a hard money lender such as a bank may be something you want to look into. A private lender is the best option here so look into those as well.

Once you have the financing in order then you want to start looking at property. A good property is something that's going to make you money. This is what you want to keep in mind when on your search. Once you feel you have one then you want to decide what you will do with it before you buy it. Are you going to fix it up and sell it or are you going to rent it for some residual income.

When it comes to getting answers to your questions books like real estate investing for beginners can be very helpful. Books on tape or audio books can be great as well. These books can be listened to when your doing something else like driving to work.

The next option for real estate investing for beginners is joining your local real estate investors club. These clubs are perfect for people starting out because they offer so much information and other benefits like discounts at local stores.

The investors club is not a full time thing so if you need something more in depth then you may want to get involved in a course. The best one I have seen out there is called Fortune Builders. This is a very expensive option but will help you set up a turn key real estate investment business. There are other courses on the internet so do your Google search and go from there.

If you are really new and have no idea the best thing to do is grab a couple books and start reading. This is the best way to get your feet wet without spending tons of money. Figure out how your going to pay for your investments and join your local investment club.

There are many people out there today that are new just like you. So remember, your not alone on this. Just search for things that have real estate investing for beginners on them and form a plan that you can execute.
