It is also light and air curing. For this reason, the Empress tree is ideal for moldings, window frames, veneers, moldings and other articles. Surprisingly, its popularity has not reached the US markets yet.

This lack of reception can be both a good and bad thing. Since this product is relatively new to the market, it has the potential to flourish. If invested properly, it can easily become a profitable business. However, only a few investors may be interested because its marketability is yet to be tested. Thus, this business involves high risks.

Another quality that makes this tree popular in the horticulture industry is its speedy growth. While most trees can be used for lumber in ten to twelve years, the Empress tree grows rapidly in only five to seven years. This means more profit for a shorter span. Nonetheless, growing the trees in a slower rate is advisable to enhance its sturdiness.

Moreover, this plant is a favorite among horticulturists. Its attractive flowers make it perfect for landscapes. Let alone the shade it efficiently provides. Notwithstanding, there are disadvantages that must be considered at the same time. Besides being messy, the tree may be a threat to some plants. It can outgrow all other plants in competing for the nutrients, soil and water.
